NEW BUSINESS

Fund Raising – Issue for discussion with  new board for incoming year.

WayanWardika – Taro Composting scheme.

Wayan started this to educate school children about re-cyccling , waste management . To encourage a prize was offered for collection /separation of plastic and glass bottles. Monday 10th June first time prize of “Bottle for Bike” won by little girl in grade 5.

Gianyar Government district Tegalalang approached Wayan to do same in Tegalalang  elementary schools. Over 100 schools! As Wayan has so much to do he cannot take on this work. This shows a need for more committed people to follow his lead on environmental issues.

Brian emphasised the importance of waste management education commencing elementary level. At Taro school the kids are enjoying collecting bottles and pacing in appropriate bins!

Tika suggested meeting with all NGOs who care about waste management, to discuss Wayan’s ideas and to put forward suggestions, many heads better than one!!!

Presentation by Made Lesoh from Tampaksiring kindergarten. They are looking for so many essentials – desks, chairs, stationery, outdoor play equipment etc. Possibility of Bali Children’s project helping asthey are very much involved in children’s education.  More discussion required more ideas to help?

Raffle won by Tika.
