Previous business:

Allan told those present how we are the only club in the district to have increased their numbers in past 2 years.  While 12% of the Rotary clubs in Bali closed down this last year.  The district has put together a special team to address these and other Membership issues.

Current Projects:  Since our Community Services Director, Dora is sick and missed the meeting, we talked about our current projects – John Fawcett Foundation ; Rumah Sehat; Water projects; School books; helmet project:

These are current, as more talks with Rotary Seminyak for another JFF day; Water projects 17 completed and 2 still current with a possible 2 more; no dates were given for Rumah Sehat Healthy day that we are sponsoring; more helmets will be distributed when schools are sourced for them, room not yet ready for library where books were donated in Celuk.

IPP Bruce mentioned our past project with Bali Children’s Project, where sponsorship is given to children to enable them to attend school. They are also now involved in distributing booklets to schools on HIV/Aids and awareness of physical abuse.

10 YEAR CELEBRATIONT. Brian is going to form a committee to organise this event, as yet no date, no venue. If you can assist please contact Brian.

We still need the following positions filled ASAP and possible nominees: Secretary Elect- possibility Dora; Treasurer Elect- no nominee, we need someone to volunteer for this important position – RTN Abe?   Projects Person – Bruce agreed to continue his present functions but is asking for much more help than he received last year for our 5th Annual Christmas Fundraising Buffet Dinner.  Even someone else could take over with Bruce helping them.  It is a very fun project.

  • Projects Committee – no update as Dora not present
