Meetings 2nd Monday of each month at Kakiang Garden Café, Jl Raya Andong, Ubud, and last Monday of each month at Maya Resort and Spa, Ubud at 5.30 – 7 pm.

Announcements, reports, project updates, and guest welcoming.


President Tika opened the meeting and welcomed members (7); guests (4) and honorary member (1).

Guests Ulrike Vchlenter, ImaraMandred, Hans Schmidt, and Kadek Erawan introduced themselves. Hans and Kadek are prospective new members this being their 2nd meeting.

President Tika asked Sue to remember our member Jim HooK (RIP).

Jim passed away suddenly on 28th December 2019, he was an active member and passionate about Rotary. Let us hope we can take his passion forward to give support to our up and coming fund raiser.


The resignation of Bruce Briscoe was discussed and a vote was taken by members re his requesting part fees be returned to him.

Brain discussed our Kendampal water project. Sue stated she will approach and ask Rotary Club Alfredton, Australia, for partnership in this project and hopefully we can complete by November 2020.

The status of our GoFundMe account for the waste recycling machine, Brian will follow up with Marion Hook next week.

Project “Sewing for Living”, 2 sewing machines have been received from Julie Parini of Rotary club Seaford, Adelaide, Australia.

Members were asked to donate thread for sewing at next meeting 27th January. Paid sewing projects need to be sourced to make project sustainable.

Fund raiser – March. Ray asked for help in this event. Jim (RIP) had made plans for sourcing prizes etc. and Ray will get copy of all plans, Brian to set up meeting for event.

A visit from the District Governor is planned for 22nd January, combined with Seminyak at the Trans Hotel. Brian, Sue, Ray and Kadek to attend.

Next meeting Monday 27th January, Maya Resort, Ubud.
