On Monday, 28 August 2022, Rotary Club Bali Ubud Sunset [RCBUS] inducted a second new member, Lisa Kaiser Hickey. She is sponsored by Hans Schmid, current President of RCBUS. Lisa lives in Lakeland, Florida, USA, and will attend RCBUS meetings via Zoom. She is recently retired from DPRINT, a multi-technology graphic communications company where she served as founder, owner, and chairperson of the Board of Directors. Lisa is an advocate for gender equality and the empowerment of women worldwide. She served, at invitation from the White House, on the steering committee for the Women’s Entrepreneurial Summit held in Tampa, Florida in 2003. She became involved in supporting RCBUS when she was asked if her Rotary Club in Tampa, Florida would help support RCBUS’ award-winning sustainable economic development program, Sewing for Living. Theirs was the first monetary donation that Sewing for Living received. Recently, she personally donated 6 large boxes of a variety of fabrics for the women of Sewing for Living to use to create and sell items to support their families and grow their local economies. RCBUS welcomes the energy, new ideas, and talents that both these women will bring to the Club.
